Your financial data on your device

The amounts, names, income sources, expense plans, asset valuations, liabilities and history you enter are used to manage your budget. krumelo does not connect to a bank, make transfers or require an account with the publisher.

Your data is saved locally. The app has no advertising or analytics tools and does not send your budget to a server operated by the publisher.

iCloud sync and automatic backups

Both features are optional and enabled separately. Sync keeps your personal budget, assets, liabilities and history up to date on your devices using the same Apple Account. Automatic backups save complete versions of this data for recovery. The app retains the 30 most recent confirmed versions; a failed cleanup may temporarily leave additional copies.

Data is stored in your private CloudKit database on your Apple Account. The publisher cannot access the contents of this private database. These features do not share your budget with other people. Transfers require an internet connection and run while the app is open. iCloud availability, storage and protection also depend on Apple and your account settings.

Turning off sync or backups stops that feature on this device. It does not delete existing iCloud data. Sync carries edits and deletions across devices, so a previous backup may be needed to undo a mistake.

Export, import and recovery

You can save a copy in Files, including iCloud Drive. The app does not encrypt exported JSON files. Anyone who can access the file can read its contents. Files saved with another provider are also subject to that provider’s terms.

Importing or restoring a backup replaces the whole budget after confirmation. The app keeps a local copy of the previous file. Separate recovery copies are created when converting the currency or applying synced changes. These files can contain earlier values. System device backups depend on your Apple settings.

Protecting access

Local files use iOS/iPadOS file protection. You can enable an app lock using Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. The system handles authentication; krumelo receives the result, not your biometric data or passcode. App lock does not protect a file after you export it.

CloudKit storage uses Apple’s security mechanisms. We do not promise our own end-to-end encryption or recovery without access to your account and backups.

Managing and deleting data

You can edit, export or replace your data through import. Deleting the app removes its local storage; offloading while retaining data is a different operation. Deleting the app does not delete separate exports, system backups or iCloud data. You can also manage cloud storage in your Apple Account settings. Keep any backup you need before deleting data.

The publisher cannot remotely read or recover your budget.

Contacting support

Emailing support shares your address, message and any attachments you choose to include with the publisher. This information is used to respond and resolve your request. Do not send your budget file, private amounts, passwords or verification codes.

The krumelo@icloud.com mailbox uses Apple iCloud Mail. Daniel Piotrowski is the controller of support correspondence. Requests are handled on the basis of the legitimate interest in providing support and resolving app issues (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing your information is optional, but a reply address is needed to respond. Support messages are not used for marketing or profiling.

Correspondence is kept while a request is being handled and for up to 3 months after it is resolved. Information is kept longer only where needed to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. It is then deleted.

Apple may process data outside the European Economic Area using safeguards described in Apple’s privacy policy. That policy also explains the roles of Apple entities and how to contact Apple about international transfers.

Contact the publisher to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or to object to processing of support correspondence. Depending on the lawful basis, other rights may apply, including portability and withdrawal of consent. You may complain to the relevant data protection authority, including Poland’s UODO.

This website and updates

This site has no forms, advertising, external fonts or its own tracking scripts. The hosting provider may process technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites, using Cloudflare infrastructure. Providers may process IP addresses, browser and request information, and security logs. The publisher adds no analytics or advertising. Delivering the site and preventing abuse serve the legitimate interest in providing reliable, secure support (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Technical processing, retention and any transfers outside the EEA are also governed by the providers’ policies: OpenAI and Cloudflare. This processing is separate from the budget data stored by the app.

We update this information when the app’s data practices change. The version date is shown at the top of the page.
